Taranjit Singh Tatla (Taran Tatla) graduated with first class Intercalated BSc in Anatomy (1994) and MB,BS (1996) from University College London, before rapid progress through basic and higher surgical training incorporating posts at many of the renowned London teaching hospitals. FRCS (ORL-HNS) was awarded from the Royal College of Surgeons in England (2006) and he has been a full-time NHS consultant at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust since 2008, specialising in ENT surgery with Thyroid, Head and Neck (H&N) and Laryngology sub-interests. His clinical work has been complimented by research, training and leadership roles that have provided unique interface and collaboration between health care professionals (HCPs), clinical academia, Med-Tech and Pharma partners from across industries. He has delivered various multidisciplinary postgraduate courses nationally since 2004. He is currently the President of ENT UK.

Vin Paleri is a Consultant Head & Neck Surgeon at The Royal Marsden Hospitals (RMH) and Professor of Head and Neck Surgery at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR).Vin has special interest in salvage surgery and has demonstrated the utility of transoral robotic surgery in recurrent cancer, including a new robotic technique to remove recurrent cancers.Vin’s research interests are in early diagnosis, recurrent cancer, the processes of cancer care, and functional outcomes in head and neck oncology practice. He is the primary or co-recipient for ~£10 million in grant funding, has published over 250 papers, 6 textbooks, and has an h-index of 61. As Director of the International Centre for Recurrent Head and Neck Cancer (IReC), he leads a large group of researchers with a portfolio of 17 studies. During his tenure as President of the British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists (BAHNO) from 2021-2023, he enshrined into the constitution the principles of equality, diversity and inclusivity. Some of the surgical work performed by Vin and colleagues was featured in two documentary series in 2023 and 2024 (Super Surgeons: A chance at life).

Having graduated from Leicester University Medical School, Carl completed specialist training in East Anglia, and undertook advanced surgical training at the St Paul’s Sinus Centre in Vancouver. Further training at the Dresden University Smell and Taste Clinic, enhanced his expertise in olfactory assessment and research. Now Professor of Rhinology & Olfactology at The University of East Anglia (UEA) and Honorary Consultant Rhinologist for Norfolk & Waveney ENT Service Carl also holds leadership roles as President of the UK Semiochemistry Network, ENT Lead for the Eastern Clinical Research Network, and associate editor for rhinology at Clinical Otolaryngology. An internationally recognised expert in smell and taste disorders, chronic rhinosinusitis, and endoscopic sinus surgery, he leads major research initiatives including the NIHR-funded MACRO Programme, published in The Lancet in August 2025.

Kay studied medicine at Cambridge University and was a consultant at Barts Hospital NHS Trust in London for 14y, before taking up her current role of Consultant ENT Surgeon in Buckinghamshire NHS Trust and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She is interested in all aspects of otology andpaediatricENT, and enjoys a varied clinical practice in bothpaediatricsand adults. She also has a passion for education and training, and lectures nationally on ENT courses, as well as examining students at Oxford University Medical School. Kay has held numerous leading ENT roles, including Honorary Treasurer of ENT-UK, Honorary Secretary of the Otology Section of The Royal Society of Medicine, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer of the British Society of Otology, and Otology Programme Lead for the British Academic Conference in Otolaryngology (2023). She has a strong record of collegiate action and leadership, and of delivering substantial and complex projects. She is very proud to support ENTUK’s bid to host IFOS 2030 in London.

Sam Majumdar is a founding member of the British Laryngology Association, serving on its council since 2013. He is a Laryngologist, full-time Consultant Surgeon, and Honorary Reader at Dundee Medical School and Ninewells Hospital, NHS Scotland. As lead clinician, he developed services for Laryngology, voice and swallowing disorders, and the difficult airway service. He heads the steering group for Transnasal Endoscopy/Oesophagoscopy training standards and is Deputy Director of Education for ENT UK.He graduated from Nottingham Medical School, trained in Maxillofacial Surgery, and holds a Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. His PhD research focused on leadership and relational sustainability. An acclaimed teacher and international speaker, he is a Fellow of the Scottish Patient Safety Programme and Deputy Lead for Scotland in Quality Improvement at the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management. Majumdar has published extensively, presented globally, and co-edits the 10th edition of Current Practice in Otolaryngology, contributing to other key textbooks.

Mr Ram Moorthy was educated at Dulwich College and qualified from Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, London. After house jobs and basic surgical training at Poole and Charing Cross Hospitals, he began higher ENT training in the West Midlands, finishing in South East Thames with posts at Great Ormond St and Guy’s Hospital. He completed a National Interface fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. Since 2011, he has been a consultant ENT/head and neck surgeon at Wexham Park Hospital, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. Ram specialises in benign head and neck surgery, especially thyroid and parathyroid procedures, leading the UK’s first scarless transoral thyroid and parathyroid surgeries in 2022/23. He has pioneered integrated community and secondary care services and is active in medical education, serving on the SAC in ENT and as an ENT expert for Brunel Medical School. His previous roles include ENT Training Programme Director for Thames Valley and Foundation Training Programme Director at Wexham Park. He also holds several representative roles, including BMA UK consultants committee, Clinical Trustee for ENT UK, and executive committee member for the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons.
