Vision

The theme, “Serving Tomorrow’s World Today,” is not a slogan. It is an organisational principle. Every element of the scientific programme — from the first minutes of the opening ceremony to the final vote on the Declaration of Tomorrow — is designed to serve the 5.5 billion people worldwide who currently lack access to safe, affordable surgical care, while simultaneously advancing the science, technology, and education that will transform ENT practice over the coming generation.

The programme is anchored by 13 cross-cutting visions, five themed days, eight curated session formats, four Hot Line late-breaking trial sessions, six named prizes, and a commitment to structural rather than symbolic equity. It is delivered in partnership with ACS Global, a forward-looking professional conference organiser and member of ABPCO, with extensive experience of similar large international events (>1300 events to date, 150+ in over 36 cities globally), who have the technical capacity and ambition.

Two high-impact events will deliver the essence of the Congress: a unique opening performance and a 72-Hour Grand Challenge Hackathon. This is based on two world-leading models: the Cancer Research UK Grand Challenge (which funds transformative, team-science approaches to the hardest problems in cancer) and the MIT and Weill Cornell Medical College health hackathons (which convene multidisciplinary teams to solve defined clinical problems under time pressure). It runs concurrently with the scientific meeting across all five days, with finalist presentations in the Day 5 plenary.
